Why Us

What We Do

Un Mundo de Niños aims to provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children ages 6 weeks – 6 years. Using the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress Framework and the Reggio Emilia Approach, our children are exposed to a variety of rich learning experiences. Our approach focuses on child-centered, inquiry-based learning, where children learn through real-life and hands-on experiences. Through daily exploration of materials and interactions with our community, children are encouraged to approach the world with confidence, empathy, and self-motivation. “What children learn does not follow as an automatic result from what is taught, rather, it is in large part due to the children’s own doing, as a consequence of their activities and our resources.” —Loris Malaguzzi, The Hundred Languages of Children

Dual Language Learning Environment

Children at Mundo de Niños are naturally immersed in the Spanish Language through daily interactions, conversations, and explorations. We truly believe that being able to communicate with someone in his or her language is an incredible gift.

Our Mission

As a Reggio-Inspired Early Learning Program, we see the child as a being full of potential, capable of creating and building their own learning. Un Mundo de Niños is committed to providing an environment where children can thrive through the active exploration of the world around them.

Our Vission

The Reggio Emilia Approach recognizes all children as competent, capable, and co-creators of their own learning. The ability of a child to work cooperatively with their environment and community members while utilizing The Hundred Languages accessible to them forms the basis for growth in the early years. Children are encouraged to be proud of what makes them unique through: - Imaginative and Dramatic Play - Art Investigation and Creation - Loose Parts - Explorations of the Environment (The “third teacher”) - And more…
